Bad Puppy – How to Deal With your Puppies Bad Behavior

Imagine the next time you join a discussion about puppy training. When you start sharing the fascinating puppy training facts below, your friends will be absolutely amazed.

Dealing with problem puppy behaviors:

Everyone who owns a puppy or dog will eventually have to deal with and correct less than desirable behaviors on the part of their companion animal. There are a number of behaviors that should be nipped in the bud, including:

Jumping up on people. This is one of those behaviors that many owners inadvertently encourage in their animals, since jumping up, wagging his tail and the like can be adorable in a young puppy. When that puppy is older, larger and heavier, however, this jumping up behavior ceases to be cute and begins to become annoying and even dangerous.

A large, heavy dog jumping up on people can be dangerous to young children and even to some adults, since a large, 100 pound plus dog can easily knock down a child or small adult. Since you as the owner are responsible for the behavior of your dog, it is important to nip this problem behavior in the bud.

The best time to do that, of course, is when the puppy is still small and easy to handle. When the puppy jumps up on you or someone else, gently place the puppy’s feet back on the floor. When the dog remains standing there, be sure to praise it extensively.

Those of you not familiar with the latest on dog training now have at least a basic understanding. But there’s more to come.

It is also important to give the puppy an alternative to jumping up. Puppies jump up on people to express their enthusiasm, so it is important to redirect this energy in a more socially acceptable direction. Try teaching the puppy to present his paw instead of jumping up.

When teaching the puppy to not jump up on people, it is important to be consistent. Consistency is important in any training program, and all members of the family must understand that the puppy is not permitted to jump on them.

Pulling, charging and tugging on the lead. One problem you definitely want to nip in the bud is this one. It is important that the puppy learn to respect the collar and leash now, when he is still small and light enough to handle. Teaching this lesson to a 10 pound puppy will be much easier than teaching the same lesson to a 150 pound dog.

Using a good strong body harness or head collar can be a big help when training a puppy not to pull, or to retrain a dog that has already learned to pull on the leash. When first fitting a harness, it is important to allow the puppy to walk around wearing it, so that he can get used to wearing it. The first thing your puppy must learn, and the basis of all subsequent training, is teaching your dog to heel. Teaching your dog to walk quietly at your side on a loose lead is the basis of all dog training, and until your puppy has mastered this vital skill he will be unable to move onto more advanced training.

When walking with a puppy on a leash, it is important to always keep slack in the leash. If the puppy begins to pull on the leash, the handler should quickly change directions. The puppy will then find itself lagging behind instead of forging ahead. The least will be loose except for the split second it takes to change directions. It is important for the handler to use a quick tug of the leash, followed by an immediate loosening, when teaching this lesson.
When teaching the puppy to walk properly, it is important to never allow the puppy to pull you around, or to forge ahead on the leash. Allowing the puppy to pull you around will teach him exactly the wrong lesson.

If you’ve picked some pointers about dog training that you can put into action, then by all means, do so. You won’t really be able to gain any benefits from your new knowledge if you don’t use it.

Montessori Home Schooling

The Montessori home schooling method was developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900s to educate children from poor families in San Lorenzo Rome. Dr. Montessori developed a method of teaching children as children, rather than smaller adults. Instead of pigeonholing children into the common institutionalized methods such as grading and testing, the Montessori home schooling method allows children develop their talents, takes note of weaknesses, and encourages children to develop both their weaknesses, and natural talents in their own time.

The Montessori home schooling method is taught to children from as early as birth, and can go as high as year 12 education. Rather than grading, feedback and analysis is usually provided in the form of a list or narration of the child’s talents, and weaknesses. An emphasis on and an approach to improving the child’s weaknesses are then taken, as education progresses.

The wonderful thing that the Montessori home schooling method offers a child is a focus on what the child needs as an individual, rather than pre-set needs for the class as a whole. Learning is done at the child’s own pace, and teachers take the role of a guide rather than a lecturer. One of the main goals that this method uses is to encourage children to keep their natural joy of learning, without pressuring them to compete with each other and learn when they are not yet ready, or mature enough.

Through this method of teaching, children are encouraged to be independent, and are given freedom with some set limits and responsibilities that come with having freedom.

The entire approach used in Montessori home schooling method is that children learn in an entirely different way than adults. Lessons are specially structured to children’s needs, and the natural way that they learn to give children the best advantage in both an academic, and social learning environment.

Montessori Method Lessons

The Montessori method ensures that a child is never given an activity without being shown how it is of use to them. After the activity has been demonstrated, the child is then given the freedom to use this newly acquired knowledge with no limits, other than their own imagination, or when the materials or child has a risk of being a danger to themselves or those around them.

Each activity is carefully selected, and will pave the way for later activities, and concepts. Children are encouraged to repeat an activity as many times as they want to, until they become bored with it. At this stage, it is a sign that the child is ready to start the next activity.

There is never a prescribed time table, or period in which children are meant to learn certain concepts, or lessons, the speed that these are learned will depend entirely on the child, and when they feel ready to move on. However, there is a set sequence of learning activities that are used for lessons. The Montessori home schooling method was originally designed as a schooling system, but it is a very popular method that is often scaled down and used by parents for home schooling.

How do I discuss child behavior to a 4-year old?

I would like to discuss to my daughter about boys and girls, not to do things with eachother such as touching etc…. How can I explain this to her in a proper way were she can understand.

Well, I think we should realise as adults that there is a stage in child development where they are going to realise that boys and girls are different and then they are going to get curious about it.
Really, it is going to happen. It’s a part of childhood, I think.
Perhaps just make sure you supervise your daughter and her playmates well when they are at your house, and don’t let her go someplace where you don’t think she will be well supervised.
And like the others said, explain that some parts of a person are private, because they’re special and that’s why we always keep them covered up when we’re in public. Mention that when she’s a grown-up lady those parts will make it possible for her to have her own baby, so they’re very special and should be protected.

At four she will understand all of it. Just make it seem non-scary and speak to her normally. SImple sentences.

What is the difference between Early Childhood Education and Child Development?

What is the difference between the 2 college majors?

This is Early Childhood Education;

Early childhood spans the human life from birth to age 8. Infants and toddlers experience life more holistically than any other age group. Social, emotional, intellectual, language, and physical lessons are not separated by the infant. Adults who are most helpful to young children interact in ways that understand that the child is learing from the whole experience, not just that part of the experience to which the adult gives attention. "Janet Gonzalez-Mena"

Although early childhood education does not have to occur in the absence of the parent or primary caregiver, this term is sometimes used to denote education by someone other than these the parent or primary caregiver. Both research in the field and early childhood educators view the parents as an integral part of the early childhood education process. Early childhood education takes many forms depending on the theoretical and educational beliefs of the educator or parent.

Other terms that are often used interchangeably with "early childhood education" are "early childhood learning," "early care," and "early education." Much of the first two years of life are spent in the creation of a child’s first "sense of self" or the building of a first identity. Because this is a crucial part of children’s makeup-how they first see themselves, how they think they should function, how they expect others to function in relation to them-early care must ensure that in addition to carefully selected and trained caregivers, links with family, home culture, and home language are a central part of program policy. If care becomes a substitute for, rather than a support of, family, children will often incorporate a less-than-positive sense of who they are and whre they come from because of their infant care experience.

Early childhood education or learning focus on children learning through play.

This is child development;

There are different developmental domains of children which all relate to each other:

Physical development – Concerning the physical growth and the development of both gross(eg. walking) and fine motor(eg. finger movement) control of the body.
Perception and sensory development – How a child functions using the senses and the ability to process the information gained.
Communication and language development – Using visual and sound stimuli, especially in the acquisition of language, also in the exchange of thoughts and feelings.
Cognitive development – Concerning how the individual thinks and react.
Emotional Development – Concerning children’s increasing awareness and control of their feelings and how does he react to these feelings in a given situation.
Social Development – Concerning the child’s identity, their relationship with others, and understanding their place within a social environment.

So all in all, one(ECE) is a infant-age 8 gets an education within their age class, just like a type of school, daycare, ect.

And CD on the other hand lets the child develop necc. skills to perform everyday tasks in life once older. Social, Emotional and other type of skills.
