How can a child use computers as an aid to becoming a genius?
People are born geniuses (or Mensa if the word genius in not in vogue anymore), not nurtured.
However, constantly solving problems can help a children identify patterns and trends faster. Memory can also be improved with techniques.
A people can spend their whole life reading Wikipedia and remember facts but it only makes them knowledgeable. It does not make them intelligent. One needs to be able to process data into useful information. The ability to apply such information is called intelligence.
But the Leonardos, Einsteins, Hawkings & Faradays of the world are born so. They are called gifted because this talent has to be given.

What is the oddest thing you remember doing as a child?
I once wrote this story about a deadly spider that haunted a little girl in her dreams… I was about 9 at the time and it was a competition for writing a story for nursery children. Genius.
Jumping out of an apple tree to break an arm so I could get a trip to hospital.
I didnt manage it but my curiosity led to a career in nursing!
